Meet the Staff

 

Diana Roberts, Executive Director

Diana has been with The Arbors since 2004. As Brent and Gina’s aunt she has been with the family for much longer. Diana has over 35 years experience in managing senior apartments, assisted living, skilled nursing and dementia care. Her management success is measured by the consistently outstanding scores she receives on The Arbors annual state survey and the devotion of her staff. Her knowledge of the symptoms and progression of memory illness and the challenges it creates for families is extensive. Her willingness to spend time responding to resident and family needs elevate customer service to a new level.

Diana’s interest in improving the industry standard is evidenced by her involvement as past president and current board member of CARE (Coalition of Assisted Residential Environments).

She is a board member of ALAC (Assisted Living Advisory Council) and is currently a certified mentor for administrators in training through the Geriatric Education Council and the State of Nevada Bureau of Long Term Care Administrators.

Maureen Gresh, Assistant Director

Maureen has over 30 years experience as an LPN, specializing in a variety of fields including assisted living, skilled nursing and dementia care. From 2004 to 2007 she was the Arbors’ Resident Care Coordinator and has returned in 2010. She is also a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator and a consulting Administrator for the State of Nevada.

She is committed to the care and support of persons with memory conditions as well as their families. This is evident by the “A” scores she has received from the state survey at every facility she has been associated with since receiving her Administrator’s license.

Maureen is the co-chair of ALAC (Assisted Living Advisory Council) and is also a certified mentor for administrators in training.

 

Connie Stutchman, Resident Relations

Connie has been involved in the family business from the beginning. Her experience encompasses orchestrating the interior design for many of the family’s projects including The Arbors. In addition to teaching in the past, she has put her post-graduate work in Counseling to good use working in a skilled nursing facility as a Social Worker.

Having watched both of her parents experience memory loss she is a great listener for families who are currently facing this challenge.

Connie was recently inducted into the “Hall of Fame” of Southwestern University in Keene, Texas for her volunteerism and community contributions. She holds a BS degree in English and Education from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She currently serves on the board of directors for Care Chest of Sierra Nevada.

 

Norge Santiago, Activity Director

After a successful career in International Marketing, Norge decided it was time for a change. Her heart led her to her current calling which is her daily commitment to creating moments of joy and lots of smiles for everyone around her, especially to our residents with a memory illness.

Norge received her certification in Gerontology at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is a certified Activity Director and a member of the National Association of Activity Professionals.

Norge has been an integral part of The Arbors for over 5 years. She exemplifies our belief in putting the well being of our residents above all else. The numerous volunteers that participate in her program at The Arbors demonstrate her belief that our residents are still a viable part of the community.

Norge holds a BA from Immaculate Heart of Mary College and an MBA in Business Administration from Jose Rizal University, both in the Philippines. She also graduated from the ASEAN Business Management Program at Mt. Eliza college in Australia.

 

 Barbara Fraide, Office Manager

Barbara has been with The Arbors since 2006. She has 30 years of experience in various health related fields. She is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Resources and assisting with Marketing. She is energetic and passionate about doing a good job.

Barbara began her career with seniors as a care giver. Her familiarity with all areas of the business facilitates great communication with resident families.

Barbara enjoys working for a family owned business and likes the hands on nature of her job.

Cathey A. Ree, MSN

Cathey received a Bachelor’s in Nursing in 1981 and a Master’s in Nursing in 1991. She has over 25 years of professional experience in healthcare, 14 of which have been in care of residents with Alzheimer’s or other memory illness. Her experience includes hands on care, operations management, care giver training and new development oversight.

As a caregiver herself for a family member with Alzheimer’s disease, Cathey has first hand experience with all aspects of the disease process. She understands the devastating effect on family and loved ones, the financial burden, difficult decision-making and feelings of guilt that are issues faced by all affected parties. Through professional and personal experiences, Cathey offers sound recommendations for family caregivers and facility staff.

She is a frequent speaker at professional and community groups on various topics related to memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease, and is a supporter of the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Cathey has been affiliated with The Arbors in a consultant role for the past six years. In this role she provides specialized staff training and assistance with unique resident situations in order to achieve the best outcome.
