“Prior to becoming a resident of The Arbors, my mother could best be described as depressed. The depression has now disappeared. She socializes daily with many friends she has met at The Arbors, even though she cannot remember their names from one day to the next! Between the socializing and the many ongoing activities, she simply does not have the time or need to be depressed.

“My mother states that she “loves it there.” The credit for her feeling goes to the management and your caring staff, and I truly appreciate all that you folks do.”

“I am the daughter of a resident at the facility known as The Arbors. It is a residence for people with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. He has lived there for a year and a half.

“My father was very disoriented when he moved in and overmedicated. He did, however, like his room and most of all, the way in which he was treated. The staff greeted him as if he was a celebrity and he loves that kind of attention. The food is good and he seemed to adjust fairly well. A doctor got his medication adjusted and he became able to maneuver better.

“Under the Stutchman family management, I discovered that their number one priority was to care for the residents. They made my Dad’s life wonderful. The staff is encouraged to maintain good attitudes and treat the residents with dignity. The staff also receives training and learns the latest information regarding Alzheimer’s disease.

“I always feel happy when I visit my father because he is very content and calls the place home. My entire family is at ease knowing that he is safe and receiving the best care possible. This disease is difficult enough to witness in a loved one so knowing he is in a home away from home makes it a bit easier. I hope my father can spend the rest of his days here.

“The facility is beautiful, well managed by Diana and her staff, extremely well maintained and well organized. The care unit staff is well trained, very detailed about the care they provide to their residents and appear proud of the work they are doing.

“The staff places great effort into providing an environment that is safe. The meals are delicious, beautifully prepared and well supervised to provide proper nutrition for my father’s diabetic condition. Maureen’s extensive experience and dedication is evident as is her great ability to communicate effectively with my Dad’s attending physicians and our family. Her charting is detailed and accurate.
