The Arbors requires more staff training than any other memory facility in Nevada. Our training focuses on the fact that each person with memory impairment is unique and is affected in a different way.  Understanding the disease process and learning a variety of ways to communicate allows our caregivers to reduce anxiety and create a comfort zone.

The Stutchman Family strongly believes in hiring the most qualified staff possible then giving them all the right tools to facilitate positive interaction with our residents. Every caregiver receives 16 hours of training prior to working a single shift.  They are then paired with a senior level caregiver for at least three 8 hour shifts to further ensure their understanding of The Arbors’ commitment to the best possible care for our residents.  All staff participate in at least two hours monthly of continuing education to ensure that our skills are always leading edge.

Comfort is key to successful memory care.  Our facility was designed specifically for memory care.  The interior is warm, inviting and of course, very clean.  (more)
