Our Memory Care is designed to meet the ever-evolving personal care needs of someone displaying the initial and developing signs of Alzheimer’s or other related dementia. We recognize the right environment can help diminish agitation and confusion. Arbors Memory Care [Link to Memory Care Page] program is individualized for each resident with frequent check-ins with our resident and family to make sure their personal needs are considered in everything from their care plan to our community activities.
The Arbors offers private and companion suites in a comfortable neighborhood environment. Design features, such as visual cues and walking paths, help residents stay independent in finding their way. Memory boxes with photos of early life and biographies highlighting life achievements add to a sense of belonging. A light cheery and spacious environment throughout the building offers many community areas for socializing as well as quiet spots to sit and relax in peace. Our two 1500 square foot atriums complete with live plants, birds and plenty of natural light are perfect for those days that our Nevada weather turns extreme.
Our 3-acre site is fenced with wrought iron lined with roses and vines allowing for security without the feel of confinement. The outdoor spaces are perfect for exercise, gardening, BBQ’s, gathering flowers, bird watching, and many other wonderful outdoor experiences.
Our philosophy of care is based on respect, patience, dignity and the encouragement of independence. We believe this means an enhanced quality of life for your loved one with memory loss and for your family as a whole. In understanding and attending to the unique needs and personal preferences of each individual, our residents receive the respect they deserve and encouragement to be as independent as possible.
We accomplish this by working closely with our resident’s families to discover any personal hobbies or career highs that we can emphasize while establishing our relationship and a plan of care. We believe that even in the midst of the challenges that a memory illness can create, moments of joy can be found.
